This is the best guitar for the money there is period. I am a professional musician and mainly a Martin and other manufacturers collector and seller. I use to use expensive Martins as my stage guitars ( Martin 1996 000-28 12 fret GE and a 1993 OM-28 Perry Bechtel) They both have LR bags Dual Source for amplification. This guitar amplification has been around for over 20 years and in my opinion it is still the best natural sound amplification there is. You set it to stereo and use a Y cable to run it to the mixer so you can put both the mic and the pickup to the crowd and the ribbon bridge pickup to your monitors to eliminate feedback. If you have a DBS Driverack system you dial it in and can put the mic in your monitors too.
I bought a Yamaha FG730 years ago to use it as a stage guitar and installed the Baggs Dual Source. I changed the nut to an 1 ¾” for comfortable playing. It came with no case so I payed $75 bucks for a case that doesn’t even come close to the Access Case that comes with this guitar. It fits great and it is a very high quality case made for this guitar. My only concern is that it is made in China where educated people only make $1000 per year annually which is basically slave labor. I would pay more to make their lives better.
As I said I collect and sell and play guitars. Martin charges $250-$400 dollars just for the sunburst option.
Also. This guitar has a solid Sitka spruce top with scalloped bracing. How cool
is that? It also has mini tuners that lighten the headstock and yes, it improves the playability and it improves the sound. Yamaha was thinking and they unlike most companies try to satisfy you and are not out to steal your money. They are out to give you a great deal. **********stars

Yamaha FG830 Excellent Guitar Autumn Burst is so-o-o-o-o-o beautiful!

I have 10 guitars among them a Martin, Taylor, Washburn, A jumbo Honey Burst Takamine 523,(made in Korea), EJ200SCE,Natural, Epiphone, Yamaha, 730, and a Blue Ridge BR-180. The Yamaha FG830 is not a cut-away, or have a pre-amp but is one of the loudest (unplugged) and with the scalloped braces and the best sound of any guitar. Notice, I did not say the best sound of my guitars, but I put myself out on a philosophical limb and said it was the best sounding guitar and not in any certain price range and that is a challenge to you guitar players out there into the guitar world too argue about.

There are so few differences between my excellent guitars, other than that some of them have cut-aways and have pre-amps. They need them for the extra added volume. The FG830 needs no pre-amp, but is so-o-o-o good. I had to give it an excellent+++. When I pick it up, I have a very hard time putting it down. I paid $319 for this guitar, with included case, strap, tuner, strings, and lessons. Austin Bazzar has the best Bundle I have ever seen-bar none. It has a real nice case and a DVD that explains how to use the tuner that comes with the bundle and how to tune it. The DVD teaches you a bunch of new chords and it is by far the best least expensive bundle out there in the guitar world. That said, he also throws in one the best Yamaha guitars that I have ever picked up period, and what a beauty! Only word that can describe this bundle is it is a blessing from the lord above for the beginning player or even for the professional. It was the best guitar of the lot for the money. Even though the Blue Ridge BR180 was very highly decorated and was a direct copy of the Martin D-45 that costs $9500- $12,000. The Blue Ridge cost me $1570 and was above my pay grade even though I kept it, and it plays wonderfully but at that price it better damn well better play good. I still stick to my guns in what I said in the above review.

    Thanks, for listening, Rick

PS The EJ200Epiphone SCE is the easiest fretting guitar and the easiest on the fingers – Excellent. The Washburn WCG66SC with the spalted Maple back and sides is the most beautiful guitar of the bunch-Excellent and has a different great sound because of the cedar top!

I can’t tell you too much technically about the product because I’m not a guitar player but our eldest absolutely loves it. What I can tell you is that it is very high quality and well made. It comes with everything in the desired list and we once again we hear guitar music late into the night. The sounds are very pleasing, and not just for obvious reasons!

Before purchasing this model, we had read some reviews and watched some youtube videos. And we have not yet found anything negative online. And I have not heard a single complaint from the proud owner either.
